About Us

Independent research on water security, without the sales pitch

Off-Grid Water Watch is a small, independent publication covering home water security — atmospheric water generation, off-grid systems, and drought preparedness — for readers who want a straight comparison before they spend money.

Our editorial approach

We started this site because most of what's written about water-independence products falls into one of two camps: official sales pages with obvious incentive to oversell, or forum threads with no structure at all. We wanted something in between — plain comparisons of cost, output, and effort, written by people who've actually read the manuals and specs.

When we review a product, we read the full documentation, cross-check any performance claims against what's publicly known about the underlying technology, and note where marketing language runs ahead of what the physics or engineering can actually deliver.

How we make money

Off-Grid Water Watch is reader-supported. Some of the links on this site — including in our reviews and comparisons — are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. This never changes what we write: our comparisons and pros/cons lists reflect our own assessment, not which link pays the highest commission. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
